Middletown, NY: The Galleria at Crystal Run has partnered with the Town of Wallkill to support its Friendly Visitor Program, which was developed in partnership with Jewish Family Services to provide services to Senior and/or disabled neighbors who live alone and need assistance. Volunteers provide transportation to local appointments, as well as escort neighbors who need assistance with grocery shopping and many more helpful tasks. Starting January 22, the Galleria at Crystal Run will serve as a food drop off location for the Friendly Visitor Program, helping to enhance the safety for both the volunteers and the recipients in light of the ongoing pandemic.
Here’s How the Program Works:
Volunteers will pick-up food collected at the Galleria at Crystal Run and deliver to local neighbors in need. Community members that are interested in donating non-perishable food items can find food collection boxes at each entrance at the Galleria at Crystal Run:
- Level 1- Near AMC Theater
- Level 1- Near Macy’s and Track 23
- Level 1- Near Target and Round 1
- Level 2- Near Galleria Dental
- Level 2- Near 110 Grill
Hours of Operation for the Galleria at Crystal are as follows: Monday – Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
